What is it for?

Its main purpose is to open the headlights of cars, motorcycles or trucks without having to cut them or heat them excessively to temperatures that are dangerous for the plastic.

Many modern headlights don't use the traditional soft butyl glue (which easily melts with the heat of a blow dryer), but are instead factory-sealed with a permanent cold glue (often polyurethane-based). This liquid is designed to chemically react with the hard sealant to temporarily soften it.

How it works (generally speaking)

1. Injection: Using the included syringe, a very small amount of liquid is inserted directly into the sealing channel, between the clear plastic lens and the black body of the headlight.

2. Chemical action: Leave the product to act for a few minutes. The liquid penetrates and weakens the chemical bond of the permanent glue, making it brittle or gummy.

3. Separation: Using special headlight pliers or a screwdriver, gently pry to separate the lens from the headlight body.

Important safety notes

• Be careful with plastics: Since it is a very powerful chemical solvent, it must be applied with extreme precision only to the glue . If it drips onto the clear plastic of the headlight (polycarbonate), it risks staining, clouding, or cracking it irreparably.

• Use of PPE: It is highly recommended to use this product in a well-ventilated area, wearing nitrile gloves and protective glasses to avoid contact with skin and eyes.
