B8.5d bulbs (often simply called B8.5 or T5 with built-in bulb holder) are mini bulbs used primarily in the interior lighting of instrument panels and dashboards in vehicles (cars, motorcycles and trucks).
Function and use
They are used to backlight or illuminate specific control elements in the passenger compartment

Main instrument panel: backlit speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and coolant temperature.

Warning and indicator lights: turn signals, high beams, battery warning light, oil pressure, handbrake, engine, etc.

Interior control panels: backlighting of climate control/heating buttons, digital clock, window power buttons or other dashboard switches.
Where are they installed?
They are installed directly on the rear printed circuit board (PCB) of the instrument panel or control modules

Mounting Type: They have a "twist-lock" (bayonet / half-rotary) mounting system
The plastic body already integrates the electrical contacts . -
Installation procedure:

Insert the lamp socket into the corresponding hole on the printed circuit board

Rotate the bulb approximately 90° (a quarter turn) clockwise to lock it in place and establish electrical contact.
