Replacing simple LED bulbs with complete LED headlights (i.e., the entire light fixture replacing the original part) is an increasingly popular choice among motorists. It's not just a matter of "whiter light," but of technical reliability and aesthetic appeal.

1. Eliminating the "Lights Not Working" error

Modern cars monitor their current draw ( Canbus system). Since LEDs consume very little power, the control unit often thinks the bulb is burned out, triggering a warning light on the dashboard.

• Single bulbs: Often labeled "Canbus," but still frequently cause errors or flickering.

• Complete plates: They are designed with integrated resistors specific to the license plate compartment voltage, ensuring almost total compatibility without annoying warning lights.

2. Uniform light distribution

The license plate recess is usually small and angled.

• An LED bulb emits light in a specific spot or only on certain sides, often creating shadow areas or "spots" of light on the license plate.

• The complete plate mounts a series of LEDs (often from 18 to 24 SMD) arranged over the entire surface, ensuring uniform, intense and professional lighting.

3. Heat dissipation and durability

Heat is the number one enemy of LEDs.

• In cheap light bulbs, heat stagnates in the small bulb, causing the LED to "fry" or flicker after a few months.
