Where should it be installed?

It is mainly mounted on the printed circuit boards on the back of the cabin components:

  • Instrument panel / Dashboard: backlighting of speedometer, tachometer, fuel level and warning lights (oil, battery, indicators, high beam).

  • Climate / HVAC panel: Illumination of the air conditioning/heating knobs or display.

  • Buttons and switches: backlighting of buttons (e.g. window lifters, hazard lights, headlight adjustment).

Features and assembly

  • Twist-Lock base: The bulb is welded or integrated directly into its hard plastic socket. Installation occurs from inside/back of the panel circuit board by inserting it into the socket and rotating it 90° (a quarter turn) to lock it in place and establish contact.

  • Standard specifications: Usually operates at 12V with power of 1.2W (or 1.5W / 2W in some variants).
