It's a false myth that xenon lamps last forever simply because they don't have a filament that breaks. In reality, despite being very durable, they have a well-defined life cycle.

1. The Chromatic Signal (Purple Effect)

This is the most common symptom. When the gas inside the bulb begins to run out or become contaminated, the light turns from its original white/blue color to pink, purple, or red .

• Diagnosis: If you see a purple tinge in the headlight, the bulb is at the end of its life. Replace it immediately before it stops lighting completely.

2. Decrease in brightness

Xenon lamps suffer from a gradual decline in performance. After approximately 2,000-3,000 hours of use, they can lose up to 30-50% of their original light output.
