The H7R version, so named, is generally used in parabolic reflector headlamps, that is with clear function glass rather than fluted; in fact the bulb has a dark band, as shown in the photograph, near the ignition to avoid glare.

This H7R lamp version is however rarely used and is an adaptation to prevent dazzling in all directions.
