What is it for?

This module (often referred to in jargon as an LED plate or DRL/Angel Eyes module ) powers the high-brightness LED diodes that project light along the light signature (the characteristic "whisker" or LED profile) of the front headlight.

It provides two levels of intensity:

1. DRL (Daytime Running Lights): maximum brightness during daytime driving.

2. Side/parking lights: dimmed when the dipped beam headlights or parking lights are turned on.

3. Why does it need to be replaced?

The main reasons that lead to the replacement of this module are:

1. Sudden LED shutdown or failure: A voltage spike, normal thermal deterioration of the diodes, or a defective circuit board can cause the LED to stop working, causing the DRL on a headlight to go out (resulting in a "Parking Light/DRL Failure" error on the instrument panel).

2. Moisture ingress / seepage: If the headlight reflector has cracks or the seals fail, condensation or internal water oxidizes the circuit board and connector pins.

3. Yellowing of the light or overheating: Over time and under thermal stress, LEDs can degrade, changing color (yellowish, dim, or flickering light) or partially burn out.
