  • Manage and power the headlight LEDs: Regulate the electrical current to the light-emitting diodes, avoiding voltage surges that could burn them out.

  • Control daytime running lights (DRL): Manages the switching on, intensity and functions of the integrated position lights or indicators (if LED).

  • Canbus Interface: Communicates with the car's on-board computer to prevent "burnt light" errors from appearing on the dashboard.

Typical workshop note: This control unit often stops working due to water or humidity infiltration inside the headlight, which creates a short circuit on the electronic board.

Which cars is it installed on?

This specific code is mainly used by the Nissan/Infiniti group (since their headlights use Koito components). It is mainly installed on:

  • Infiniti Q50 * Nissan Qashqai II (J11 series, approximately 2014 onwards)

  • Nissan X-Trail III (T32 series, 2014 onwards)
