A cloudy or yellowed headlight drastically reduces brightness and disperses the light beam, compromising nighttime visibility. Replacing the polycarbonate restores the original clarity, ensuring proper light output and allowing you to pass inspection checks without problems.

4. Solution to Water Infiltration

If the original headlight has cracked due to a small impact, it will begin to condensate or take on water, risking burning out the ballasts or LED modules underneath. Replacing the clear cover and re-sealing it solves the root problem before much more costly electrical damage occurs.

In short: It's a remanufacturing operation. Instead of throwing away a perfectly functional original headlight from an electronic and mechanical standpoint just because the external plastic is damaged, only the transparent "shell" is replaced, achieving the same aesthetic and functional result at a significantly lower cost.
